Current Tag Editor UI does not show any information about valid patterns to enter or alert user when invalid settings are selected. It is silently keeping invalid settings or silently returns back to Tag browser. This behavior leads to data loss when user accidently select invalid properties. For example. select period sample mode at 0 second rate, no historian tag will be created in the DB. Another example, when entering invalid characters in Tag name field, it will silently return back to Tag browser, but tag was not created at all.
