When writing a query for a query tag in a UDT, you can select the tag button to add a tag reference in your query expression. You can then use that popup to input parameters from a regular tag, but not parameters from the UDT instance itself.

You can, however, still reference the parameters of the UDT instance within the query expression language (by using {[.]Parameters.myParameter}). I think parameters should be selectable in the popup menu, not just a hidden feature of the query expression language.
