OPC-UA Alarms & Conditions (part 9 of the OPC-UA specification)

Beckhoff OPC UA servers supports Alarm and conditions. As I understand it, If ignition's OPC UA client did, then Ignition would not have to poll the server to monitor those tags so traffic could be reduced. Sounds good to me.

Currently having the same problem. Need to display alarms from a machine that only delivers them through Alarms and Conditions.

Would also love to see OPC Com A&E support!

We have several machines that support the Alarms and Events standard. It would be nice if Ignition supported the standard so we could shrink the amount of custom development and maintenance we do.

WinCC OA OPC UA server come with OPCUA A&C on 2012.
I did comment on the forum hope that Ignition will support A&C because we are switch from WinCC OA to Ignition.

Hi,
I would really like to have this feature as well.
I have several OPC-UA servers that are presenting alarms according to this specification and I would like to be able to capture these errors using Ignition and send messages to the IoT Hub.

I need this to connect to machines with integrated OPC-UA servers supplying fault information in the alarms and conditions format. Without support for this spec I cannot read this data into Ignition.

Not sure how this will reduce the network traffic?. OPC UA client has to poll the OPC UA server and in turn Ignition has to poll the OPC UA client. Can you pls explain the concept as i am also working on a push technology instead of pull to manage 100's of remote RTU's.
