For some applications it would be useful to have a dropdown-style filter in the table headers. The 2022/2023 filters are good but don't prompt the user. As a result we're still using external dropdowns to supply filters for table queries. These are messy and don't line up with the columns.

It seams that having the ability to add a view or a dropdown into the header would allow the user to populate a dropdown with the unique entries already in the column. Obviously there would be limitations on the length of the dropdown list before it becomes useless but for many applications it would work.
