I ask why is closed and nobody answer.
I think is a very important point to have the possibility to brose the siemens tag by the symbol; others OPC/SCADA supplier does this. This means we don't want to do it.
Please think that siemens 1500 is probably the most used plc in the world and doesn't have a nice driver means losing money.

It is possible to access S7-1500 optimized blocks and view the data structure from Ignition by using the OPC UA server that comes with the S7-1500. With this method, Ignition acts as the client instead. No S7-1500 driver is needed in Ignition.

The Kepware "Siemens Plus Suite" is just support for connecting to the built-in OPC UA server on an S7-1500 with the Kepware OPC UA Client driver. This is something Ignition already has support for.
