Is there a simple way to take what you have in the props.style and apply it to a new style class without having to manually enter every field over again?

You don't exactly see what the style class looks like while you're creating it, but you do when you're establishing the props.style in the property editor with the view open. Wouldn't it make more sense to have a paste option somewhere in the style class editor pop-up so that you could take the JSON from the props.style and apply it to the class?
