Dedicated course for gateway configuration and maintenance
In my role, I am more concerned on how to configure, maintain and debug Ignition IIoT platforms. Here's an example, gateway cpu overloads. I am looking for a more detailed training on how to read the different pages (logs, threads, database query, thread dumps, log dumps, etc) while debugging the system.
Design fundamentals - best practice examples
It would be much better if the design fundamentals course included examples on how to practically implement the design patterns in Ignition. E.g. it would be great if it had some examples how to set up flex box and breakpoint containers, add custom icons to your application, or how to set up and use them for different typographies.
Certification Documentation saved in account
Can we get a document or note of certification saved into our account when completed?
More "Hands On" Training
I find that the questions that require the Inductive University Challenge File are much more enjoyable and helpful because I am interacting with the designer software. It would be nice to get more involvement with software rather than just watching videos and answering multiple choice questions.
Default Video Playback Settings
When watching videos, it would be helpful to set default settings. Every video that loads, I need to turn on closed-captions and change the video speed; it would be nice if there was a place where I can indicate default settings.
I started my training moths ago, but had to take a break. Now that I've returned, I've started watching all of the videos again, as I'm sure I've forgotten things. But where I would expect to take the Topic Challenges again, it just says "Topic challenge complete!". Is there a way to retake the challenges in situations like mine?
How about a one-way submission form on each video clip page to allow for typing questions. no reply necessary. Just use the question to improve or include the answer in the mp3.
Typo in Challenge Questions for "Vision Client Security" section
The questions "Which of the following restrictions are allowed on a window?" should be "Which of the following restrictions are NOT allowed on a window?"
Nearly empty glossary page
IU has a glossary page under https://inductiveuniversity.com/about/ , but it doesn't explain a lot of the terms I see used in the lessons. For example: vision, module, devices, tags, perspective, report, container, database, and gateway. Understanding what these terms mean is important to understand how Ignition works, but IU doesn't have a vocabulary/glossary page to describe them in detail. The terms on their own are too vague to understand what they mean just by using a typical dictionary.
Perspective Components - multiple options now?
Following along with the elective Perspective Course, I notice that there are definitely some new options in the Perspective Component, such as multiple Container types and some Symbols, yet you can drag the top item and it still picks one of them. Would be nice to see that update and have that default function addressed.
