The questions on the tests A) need to be worded better B) need to be evaluated to see if they are even talked about in the training.

Put a tracker on answered questions. Review the questions that are answered wrong by the most people, and questions that are answered incorrectly repeatedly by the same person retaking the test.

We're a bit of a ways off, but I would like to rewrite all of the questions and rework how we present them. Would be nice if we called out the critical knowledge earlier on in the video, so you had an idea of what to focus on while watching.

I took all of the test recently and I noticed that on several, the questions asked in some sections were pertinent to sections that came after, FYI.

Way too specific in many cases

Too many of the challenge questions are way too specific and create unnecessary busy work and wasted time trying to get 100 % on tests. Spending time on this is not a useful exercise since 1. it will be forgotten immediately and 2. can be looked up when and if ever needed.

Improve The Quizzes

Make the quizzes about relevant topics from the video. Not just random things the narrator off-hand mentioned. Not every topic needs 10 questions. Questions should be broad not focused on specific things like "which box to check" or "the exact name of some random feature." Also some of the quizzes are not mentioned in the video or have different answers then the videos give. Some quizzes expect exact answers others use different wording then is on the video screens.

It seems like a lot of the answers to the test questions aren't very clear in the videos.

I've probably been over this question a thousand times and still cant find the answer? In the Gateway backup, the Simple Report page (Ignition/Reporting in Ignition/Reporting Basics/Simple Report) is showing "N/A" for every row in the Quantity column. _______ is the correct value for the Data Details Quantity cell.
I Think who ever is in the videos should be a part of putting these questions together.

Hello, this is being looked at in the near future. We will be taking at look at every question in the IU for our release of Ignition 8. Please feel free to email the training department (training@ia.io) with any specific questions that you think need to be fixed.

Agreed. Some of the questions and answers are worded in a very ambiguous way.
For example, the true/false question in the Component Scripting section of the Scripting in Ignition course that states "Python will automatically convert a tuple of integers into a color object." The correct answer is: It depends on how that particular tuple is later referenced. The use of the verb "will" infers that this action is an inevitable event that always happens.
A better way to ask that question would be "Python can automatically convert tuple of integers into a color object." The verb "can" infers the possibility of performing some action.

Great point! This has been updated for the 7.9 challenge.
